Here is some of the feedback we have had about our training:
(Infant Feeding Co-ordinator, Community and Maternity)
“LIFIB has trained our staff on topics including lactose intolerance, cow’s milk protein allergies, colic and reflux. The training was both informative and helpful, covering these topics in a way that was clear to understand and in the depth needed for practitioners. I would highly recommend this training to others. Especially in community practice it is imperative to understand with confidence topics like these.”
(Infant Feeding Lead for Health Visiting and Children Centres)
“Working with LIFIB to develop and deliver training has enabled our Infant Feeding Team to increase its variety of evidence based Infant Feeding training. Utilising LIFIB’s extensive knowledge base has supported the timely development of training, and the pre-training support offered to training facilitators is fantastic. The training packages developed by LIFIB are relevant to all partners and we have to date delivered LIFIB training to Health Visitors, GP’s Breastfeeding peer supporters and Children Centre staff. Since BFI accreditation it has been great to build upon the staff’s Infant Feeding knowledge. Our workforce identify improvements in both their knowledge and their confidence in supporting families with infant feeding issues.”
(Peer Supporter, Community and hospital)
“Attended a workshop on CMPA colic and reflux run by LIFIB and I found it incredibly informative and useful in my role as a breastfeeding peer support worker. [The trainer] really knows her stuff and is a fountain of knowledge and support to new mums and health service providers. If you have the opportunity to attend any workshops run by this lady then do it… you won’t regret it! Thank you”
